Dorian wanted to help shelter pets feel the joy of the holidays, so she launched Santa Paws Drive—an online toy and treat drive for animals in shelters, inspired by Toys for Tots. Over five years, it raised tens of thousands of dollars and helped more than 25 shelters in the U.S. and beyond.
Using the relationships she developed through Santa Paws Drive, Dorian saw an opportunity to help even more cats—this time, by getting them to homes and rescues that wanted to help. When a blog reader mentioned she’d adopt a cat if only she lived closer, Dorian organized a volunteer transport to make it happen.
That one ride sparked the idea for the Cute Transport Network, a group of 850+ volunteers who helped move over 450 cats to new homes and rescue groups across the country—one 2-hour leg at a time.
